The North Andover Merchants Association 9th annual Knight of Honor – Rising Star Gala
Virtual Knight of Honor Rising Star Gala Details Coming Soon!
Knight of Honor: Cancellation and moving forward for 2020 details
We have been monitoring the pandemic in order to make a more informed decision as to how we would like to proceed this year. Our committee has met and based on current information and the uncertainty of how long this social distancing will last, we have voted to cancel the Knight of Honor event for 2020. In order to reschedule, we would be looking at the Fall and with the Fall Festival and other fundraisers all looking to reschedule at that time, we felt it would be better served to take the Gala out of play.
Despite the cancellation of the actual event, we are still moving forward with the presentation of three $2,000 Scholarships; [$6,000 total] as we believe this is even more important this year than any! We will be announcing those winners in the next week or so.
We are also planning to feature our first on-line auction as we do still need to be able to support the Scholarship fund. Details will be forthcoming as we will wait until May to see where our social situation will be at that time and we’ll then set the auction to take place in June, if all goes well. We will keep you posted on that as well.
We do plan to have a presentation of some sort for our scholarship recipients, our 2020 Merchant of the Year, Jim Dietz owner of Joe Fish and The Loft and our Milestone recipients this summer if all goes well. Again, we will keep you posted as we finalize those dates.
We are also going to continue with our Wine Raffle. Tickets can be purchased online at our website. Click here. Tickets are 1 for $10, 3 for $20 and 8 for $40. The email verification will come to me confirming your purchase of raffle tickets and the quantity and I will enter your name into the raffle.
Therefore, we are still collecting wine bottle donations, if you have some to donate; email me at Sylf19@comcast.net and myself, or one of the committee members will come and pick them up.
We will draw the winner during our presentation ceremony in the summer. Date to be determined.
If you prefer to purchase raffle tickets in person and pay by cash or check (payable to NAMA), the following businesses are selling tickets:
The Cork Stop
Already made a donation?
If you have made a donation to the Live or Silent auction, paid to support a sponsorship, or an ad in the program book; we will be reaching out to you individually to determine if you would like to continue with your donations. We understand if you are not able to do so during this time and we are willing to return payments as well as silent/live donations that you committed to prior to the Pandemic, if that is your choice.
If you bought a ticket for the Gala we will refund your payment unless you let us know you would like to leave it as a donation. There is no obligation to do so and unless we hear from you you will be refunded.
We will continue to accept auction items for our on-line auction if you are able and would like to donate. We are hoping to get patrons back into your businesses once this is all over. Auction forms are available on the website, see link above. Gift Certificates may be the easiest way to go? They can be mailed in to the PO BOX 62.
Milestones will still be celebrated and awards presented so please fill out the form and return it so we can recognize your business.
We realize this is a lot so, please don’t hesitate to email me at Sylf19@comcast.net with any questions or concerns. We wish you the best during this trying time.
